Windows Package Manager (winget) enables you to install your favorite apps like iTunes directly using commands without need to discover, install, upgrade, remove and configure apps on your PC using command line.
In this short tutorial, you’ll learn the steps to install an app using the winget command on Windows PC.
- Start Command Prompt
If you are using Windows 10, open the Start Menu and go to the Windows System shortcuts folder. There, you can find a shortcut for the Command Prompt.
- Type the following command to search the app and press Enter
winget install Apple.iTunes
After you have completed above steps iTunes will download and install on your PC. If iTunes is a desktop application, after the package downloads, you may need to go through the standard installation experience like with other desktop apps.
In most cases you can use the Windows Package Manager without administrator privileges.
